Job Profile

This person will lead and manage the overall operations of The Center. He/She will be responsible for the implementation for job-growth strategies for Greenville and Washington County. The CEO will establish economic growth through partnerships with the Mississippi Development Authority, local and state elected officials, business community, and others that will result in the creation of new jobs through recruitment and expansion of existing industry.

Responsibilities

* Aggressively promote Greenville and Washington County
* Generate prospects that result in job creation and capital investment in Washington County
* Establish and maintain close working relationships with economic, political, and community stakeholders
* Create a climate that will maximize positive economic growth through creative leadership.
* Create affective channels of communication with all levels of government and the board of directors.

Qualifications

* 5-7 years proven track record in Economic Development / Chamber of Commerce.
* Previous management experience.
* Understand the business of expanding and attracting companies.
* Previous experience working with state and local officials.
* Understand the role of a Local / Rural Economic Development Organization.
* Strong leadership skills.

Education

* Bachelor Degree
* Advanced Degree preferred
