JOB PROFILE

The President serves as the primary position for economic development for the Lawton Metropolitan Statistical area. The President is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of the Lawton Industrial Foundation. The President serves at the pleasure of the Board of Directors. The Board consists of 10 voting members and three Ex-Officio members.


RESPONSIBILITIES

* Serve as the Executive for the Lawton Industrial Foundation.

* Effectively build relationships with the all partners.

* Generate and evaluate legitimate prospects that result in job creation and capital investment.

* Create a climate that will maximize positive economic growth through creative leadership.

* Create effective channels of communication with all levels of government and the business community.


OTHER DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage the finances and day-to-day operations of the Lawton Industrial Foundation.

* Implement the strategic marketing plan.

* Build strong relationships with existing industry to insure retention and encourage expansion.

* Manage the staff as well as personnel issues as they arise.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Proven track record in economic development with documented results.

* Previous experience working with variety of economic development projects, both industrial and major retail.

* Strong operational skills.

* Ability to work well with existing companies and Ft. Sill.

* Understand economic development to be able to give credit to others.

* Strong leadership skills.

* Strong communication skills.

* Previous management experience.

* College Degree Required
