PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
* Prior experience as an oilseed analyst in a commercial trading
operation, preferably with one of the major multinational
commodity firms, such as Bunge, Cargill, ADM, Dreyfus, AGP,
Gavillon, or Harvest States.
* Prior experience in the oilseed division and soy crushing
operations of a major multinational commodity firm.
* Extensive knowledge of the oilseed and soybean markets.
* Familiarity with quantitative data associated with the oilseed
and soybean markets.
* Previous trading experience not required.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
An individual from an agricultural background, presently working
as an oilseed analyst for a major multinational commodity
firm in the Midwest or Northeast, who: (1) has family connections
in the mid-south and would like to return; (2) feels stymied,
restricted, or disgruntled with their future prospects in
their existing position; and/or (3) desires the opportunity
to become a trader in the oilseed market.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
* Client does not want to be perceived as a "corporate
raider" of talent from either rival or cooperative commodity
trading houses.
* Client's core business is information and does not want
to antagonize or burn bridges with any other trading operation.
* Client is very sensitive to which firms the candidate would
be hired from and wants prior knowledge and approval of any
potential candidate.
* Client will not pay "Northeast rates" to lure
a candidate.
* Client is willing to provide the candidate with an eventual
opportunity to trade in the oilseed market as an incentive
to lure a qualified candidate.
EDUCATION
* College Degree preferred but not required.
